The pub
Back at the heart of the village
The Bulls Head had previously been at the heart of community for years, and our aim as the new operators is to bring that family friendly atmosphere and village togetherness back.
The pub has undergone a full refurbishment of the interior and exterior, giving it a fresher, more inviting look. We recognise how beautiful this listed building is, and with that in mind we have kept its traditional look and the features of a country pub.
The garden is a huge feature for families to enjoy through the summer months. And we have worked tirelessly on the menu to make our food of the highest quality, and as indulgent as possible.
Every Sunday
Roasts, from noon
All roasts are served with parsnip purée, honey glazed carrots, garlic & rosemary roast potatoes and seasonal greens. The kitchen serves from 12:00 until 19:00, and Sundays fill up – it is worth booking.

In the garden
The dining pods
Heated, weather resistant and strung with lights, our garden pods seat a table of your own out under the sky – whatever the forecast is doing. They suit a birthday, a work dinner or a long Sunday with friends.
Pods are booked ahead and there are only a few of them, so the best way to get one is to ring the pub and we will talk you through the evening.
Outside
A garden built for a long afternoon
Picnic benches, soft seating, a decked terrace that catches the afternoon sun, and room for children to be children. The big screen goes on for the football, and dog walkers coming off the Downs are as welcome as anyone.
